These terms govern your use of Siliku’s services, including indigenous language preservation, cultural translation, and multilingual communication solutions. By accessing our services, you agree to the conditions below.
Siliku provides expert services in documenting, translating, and adapting content across South Africa’s official languages. Our work includes oral history preservation, certified translation for legal and business use, and multilingual content strategy. All deliverables are based on the specific agreement with each client.
You are responsible for providing accurate source materials and clear instructions regarding the intended use of translations or preservation work. You must ensure you have the legal right to submit any content for translation or archiving. Siliku is not liable for errors arising from incomplete or misleading source materials.
Upon full payment, you retain ownership of the original content you provide. Siliku retains ownership of any proprietary methodologies, glossaries, or databases developed during the course of the project, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may use anonymised project data for quality improvement and research.
Siliku’s liability is limited to the value of the specific service provided. We are not liable for indirect damages, including loss of business, legal claims arising from third-party use of translations, or reputational harm. Our work is performed with professional care, but we do not guarantee that translations will satisfy every regulatory or cultural expectation without additional context from the client.
Either party may terminate a service agreement with 14 days’ written notice. In case of early termination, you are responsible for payment for work completed up to the termination date. Siliku reserves the right to suspend services if payment is overdue or if a client violates these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify clients of material changes via email or a notice on our website.
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. For legal inquiries or questions about these terms, contact us at info@siliku.com or write to 197 De Bruin Loop.
